Gwyn ap Nudd

View Project

Leader of the Wild Hunt, Guardian of souls and the wee folk. He is Lord of the Other world or Annwyn.

One of the earliest tales offering us lore about this deity is in  story of Culhwch and Olwen, which tells that Twrch Trwyth may not be hunted until Gwyn son of Nudd is found.

Sometimes referred to as Cernunnos or Herne it is important to note he is an antlered, not horned, God. Unlike horns, Antlers are seasonal, being dropped in the winter, corresponding to the dark and light halves of the year.

You can learn more about his story and see the incredible detail of our statue by watching the video.
